Obama seeks government reforms in Congress

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama, fresh from a five-state tour following his State of the Union address, is calling for government reforms to ease gridlock and bar members of Congress from profiting from their position.

In his radio and Internet address Saturday, Obama said many people he encountered during his trip were optimistic but remained unsure "that the right thing will get done in Washington this year, or next year, or the year after that."

Obama said the American people deserve "better than gridlock and games."

Azarenka routs Sharapova to win Australian title

MELBOURNE, Australia - Victoria Azarenka beat Maria Sharapova 6-3, 6-0 Saturday night to win the Australian Open and take over the women's No.

The 22-year-old Belarusian had her serve broken in the opening game and was down 2-0 after a nervous start before winning 12 of the next 13 games to take the match away from Sharapova, a three-time major winner and the 2008 Australian champion.

Caroline Wozniacki vacated the top spot when she lost in the quarterfinals, leaving Azarenka and Sharapova to play for the title and the top ranking.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE
COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010 through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS PURCHASING OFFICIAL CHECKS

Official checks are issued through another institution that participates in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. This means that the payee of the check is fully insured until December 31, 2010.
