All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis and the Jets agreed in principle to a four-year contract Sunday night, reaching a deal a week before the team's season opener. The Peoples Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

Official checks are issued through another institution that participates in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. This means that the payee of the check is fully insured until December 31, 2010.
